Our Begining....

*In order to know how Jake and I got here, you have to know where it started......

*Jake and I met in 2003 when I took a job at the appraisal company he worked for. He made the fateful comment "I am going to date this girl"...We began dating 5 years ago today. He has been coaching hockey for 4 years of our relationship and is finally the head coach this year. So much of our relatioship has been consumed with hockey. The first year was really rough for us. I wasn't employed at the company he worked at for very long in part due to our relationship. I took a mininum paying job to get by and with him being a trainee at the time. It was really rough financially for us. How we survived it, I am completely unsure of. It was a very difficult time for us as a new couple. He was going to school for his bachelors degree during the first year of our relationship. There were times where I had no idea why he was still with me...I was working a low paying job, had no college education and another personal issue he had to deal with. He stuck right by me. He lost two people close to him within a years time. It was a hard time for us both especially with his Aunt. I am glad I got the opportunity to be a part of her life for the brief time. She was an amazing woman. In 2005, things started looking up for us. Jake became a residential appraiser working for himself and I landed a job making decent money. I was doing great in school, averaging a 4.0 nearly every quarter. I was really impressing myself with my drive to succeed. Jake proprosed to me on Christmas Eve 2005. I was completely blow away and didn't know what to say. Of course I said Yes, but I found it hard to believe that he would want to marry me...me of all people. In 2006, We went with his mom, step dad, step brother and his girlfriend to Lake Uchi in Ontario, Canada. It was amazing. The trip was incredible. I loved being out in the wild and seeing the beauty of nature without the buildings and smoke. It was a peaceful retreat. There were no cell phones, internet or cable. We spent our days fishing in our own private boats, eating shore lunches and enjoying the calm/peaceful feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. I took this amazing picture of Jake and his step brother fishing off the dock. It was truly incredible. In 2007, we joined his mom and step dad in Sayulita, Mexico at Casa Angel. The views were incredible. The house was amazing. The front yard had a pool and a very steep cliff. The vacation was amazing. We went snorkeling and encounter whales, a momma and baby playing. It was the most spiritual thing I have ever seen. We went horse back riding on the beach, well steve had a donkey which was very significant to him. Finally 2008, We both graduated with our degrees. He finished his masters and I finished my bachelors. The months leading up to our wedding was honestly the worse experience I have had so far in life. My family was not here for me, which really hurt me significantly. But I pulled it together and realized no matter what, my life now is with Jake. We were married on September 6th, 2008. The drama steered clear, for the most part, that day. It was amazing. The church was beautiful, the photographer was amazing, and the reception hall was really beautiful. I am 100% satisfied with each decision I made. The dress was incredible. I could not have pick a dress that more suited me than this dress. I felt, for the first time in my life, so beautiful. We spent our honeymoon in Niagara Falls and Florida. Niagara falls was incredible. It was my first time there and I was amazed by the falls. The evenings were so beautiful....
**So now the future for Jake and I begins...**
